About MarketStage
One consistent read of where every market on the board sits in its cycle, published on the same rules every day by one person who uses it himself.
Who operates it
MarketStage is built and operated by Joviano Miguel Ascenso Faria da Silva, Sole proprietor (empresário em nome individual), Portugal. There is no company behind the name and no team: one author, acting on his own account, in Portugal.
Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd, who acts as merchant of record and is the seller on your invoice and your card statement.
What it does
It classifies a fixed universe of indices, sector and industry ETFs, funds and single stocks into four stages — accumulation, advance, distribution, decline — on daily, weekly and monthly timeframes, and scores them against each other. The rules are the same for every instrument and are published in full on the methodology page.
Why it exists
Because the alternative was thirty browser tabs and a different opinion in each. A model that is merely consistent beats a brilliant one you cannot apply the same way twice, and a model whose parameters are published can be argued with — which is the point.
Who it is for
Medium-term investors who want the whole board at once rather than a feed of alerts. 26 weeks (medium term). The models are computed on 30-week, 50-day and 30-month moving averages; nothing here is a short-term trading call.
What it is not
Not an investment firm and not supervised by the CMVM. Published as general information under Article 20 of Regulation (EU) 596/2014 and Delegated Regulation (EU) 2016/958. MarketStage is an educational and informational tool. It does not give personal recommendations, it does not know your circumstances, it does not hold or manage anyone's money, and it never asks for access to a brokerage account.
The author holds, and has previously held, positions in some of the instruments covered by this site, and may open or close positions at any time without notice. No holding reaches 0.5% of any issuer's share capital. Signals are produced by an automated model over a fixed universe and are neither selected nor adjusted according to the author's holdings.
